The People
The people are as friendly as anyone you will find anywhere in the world. Folks went out of their way to welcome me anywhere I visited, I posed for a few selfies and shook a bunch of hands as I toured around. It was refreshing to walk around not seeing folks completely head down into their phone.
The Food
The food is amazing. Kebabs are sold on almost any street, at any hour. If you love fruit and vegetables this city is for you! The Mangoes are absolutely delicious and the Kabab Factory serves up this incredible mango shake that I will be sure to get again on my next visit. A must try dish is the Kacchi Biriyani, a traditional dish made up of rice, mutton and potato.
The Organized Chaos
The absolute madness here has a charming quality to it. The beeping horns, the bells of the rickshaws and the colors on the street. The crumbling old structures next to modern, technologically advanced buildings next to historic temples is a site to see. I was only there four days and can’t wait for my next trip to Dhaka.
